Lately I have not been very good with my time and have not done well in the meal planning department which means that I have not really tried any new recipes. I was looking back and realized I had tried this recipe over the summer before I began "Tried it Tuesday".
I found this recipe for
Buttermilk Blueberry Breakfast Cake on Pintrest over the summer. My son is in love with blueberries so I had bought a huge container of them and was looking for something to do with them before they went bad. My parents were coming to town to visit and decided to give this recipe a shot for breakfast.
We all really enjoyed it. I will say that it was best the first day right out of the oven but the leftovers the next day were not too shabby. Unfortunately the recipe only needed 1/2 cup of buttermilk so I had a bunch left over. Yes I know you can "make" buttermilk unfortunately for me I discovered that after I had bought it. I ended up freezing the rest in 1/2 cup containers so I have plenty for the next time I make this recipe.
